It is hard to find an exact definition of Floral Art, but generally it is regarded the same as Floral Design. The lines get blurred a little with 'Floristry' which obviously incorporates floral art / design principles. Floristry refers mainly to the occupation and commercial sale of flower designs and associated products.
Floral Art is a term more often applied to flower design hobbyists. There are clubs and associations all over the world which providesa wonderful creative outlet for people from all walks of life - including quite a few men! The beauty of pursuing Floral Art as a hobby is that unlike floristry, the creation is quite often for the moment, and doesn't have all the commercial implication like how will it be transported, will it last, does the customer like it etc.
